The Nibelungenlied
The Nibelungenlied, is an epic poem in Middle High German.
It tells the story of dragon-slayer Siegfried at the court of the Burgundians, his murder, and of his wife Kriemhild's revenge, which ultimately brings about the deaths of every one of the main protagonists.
