Midsummer - Festival of Balder

Members were up early as we had a couple of hours travel. When we arrived the CFA were doing spot checks and putting out small fires as we have had bush fires in the area over the last couple of days.

Members chatted for a bit before we set up for blot.

When blot commenced we were all soon aware that there was an overwelming enegry flowing around and with us; this became even more prevalent throughout blot, into our sumbel, rune pull and havamal readings.

Everything was connected, the synchronicity between members rune pulls and havamal readings were undeniably linked; Odin consciousness was clear, and we all knew that the Gods were among us, guiding.

We spent hours immersed in the energy, connected; it's beyond words for me to describe in detail, only that we all felt a powerful force that did not denmish during our time in the stone circle.

After thanking the Gods and Landvættir, we left the blot site, invigorated, buzzing with energy and traveled to a nearby park for the BBQ feast.

Members set up, fired up the BBQ and began discussing what we experienced, all in awe of what had taken place.

While we were cooking and chatting, I notice a few European families about 20metres from us on the grass setting up a game that looked to me like kubb, I wandered over and introduced myself, I asked the group about the game and that it looked like kubb, one of the young ladieds smiled and said it was Finnish, it is called finska; she then explained how the game was played to me and my brother who had joined us.We thanked the young lady and the families for their kindness and wished them all a lovely day.

Our BBQ feast was fantastic, great European styled meats and produce with plenty of refreshments, all the while surrounded by young famlies of our folk, laughing and playing games; I could not help but feel, imagine, this is what paradise looks and sounds like.

Later that afternoon, we packed up and made our way to a local pub for a few more drinks (coffee for me). 

At the end of a long and fantastic day, we parted ways and a few of us began our 2 hour journey home.

An incredible day that none of us will ever forget.
